CHENNAI, India – The city of Chennai is getting pounded with torrential rain.

For the past 40 hours, there’s been a steady downpour.
The power has been out since early Tuesday, about 36 hours at this writing, and streets are flooded.
People are saying it is the worst rain ever and there is no sign of a break in the clouds.
